Walston’s designated handler for visiting offworlders — and the man holding the location of the crew’s stranded ship.

What the crew knows

A smooth, political bureaucrat: polished, cordial, and firmly in control of any conversation.
Their Far Trader, the Highndry, was abandoned in the crater of Mount Salbarii by a previous crew he’d chartered — troublemakers who botched the job and disabled the ship’s drives before giving up and leaving the system.
He’ll release the ship’s coordinates and help the crew reach it only if they finish that previous crew’s job: a routine periodic geological survey of the mountain, run with the ship’s own survey gear and the seismic charges already aboard.
The fee: Cr3,000 flat, in Imperial cash, with no room to haggle. Once the crew agreed, he had them driven out to the mountain’s base to begin.
